Report templates

In most institutions, radiology reports are written as free texts - typically with the help of digital speech recognition. Most of these systems have spelling correction programmes to a limited extent, which can help to formulate linguistically correct findings. Another option for creating radiological findings is the use of so-called report templates.

Some institutions have their own collections of text modules and findings for examinations without pathologies where the radiologist only has to add the pathologies. It is always worth to ask whether such pre-formulated findings exist.

Technical solutions for so-called structured reporting, such as those provided by the DRG, are also used less frequently.
